Im still so torn. BD or Basequatch?

I'm so torn on what Model I want to go with. I originally plan on going Base+ Sasquatch 2 door. Obviously the Package pricing is definitely going to be the determining factor.

With that said I really like the Black Diamond. I love all the accessories it comes with. Especially the Vinyl interior with rubber floors and drain plugs. And there's the Steel bumpers, auxiliary switches, rock sliders, upgraded heavy duty bash plates, and more.

The other thing is I'm not really a fan of the style of the Sasquatch wheels. And I don't want Mud tires Especially in the Winter here in the North East. I love the painted gloss black Black Diamond wheels. They look so retro and cool. But I want the Sasquatch for the ground clearance and the look of 35s. I love that look. Plus the front locker.

I really like the Grabber ATx tires with the BD wheels I just don't know if I'd be happy with the smaller size and less clearance. Im guessing with the 32s the Clearance is probably around 9.8 or so. Which is still good.

Also I'm still torn about color. I've been set on Antimatter being that my main plan is to go Base. But Area 51 was my first Love. Its the color I originally wanted. If I go BD I would be able to get it.

Man this is hard. Im literally torn right down the middle on this. Both options have totally different major pluses.

Basically factory lift with 35s and dual lockers versus BD with all the other goodies but only rear locker and 32s?

Most people say rear locker is all you need. And if you need both (front) your Basically somewhere extreme beating the crap out of your vehicle which i have no interest in doing. Its mostly going to be for light Adventure Off roading and Overland.

What to do? ?

Why are we so torn between these lol? I can’t decide either. I feel like the pricing tool isn’t gonna help me decide much better either.

Black diamond gives me everything I want except the Sasquatch to fit my budget of less than $45k. Base with Sasquatch gives me everything I want except heated seats, remote start, and leather steering wheel.

I wouldn't worry about the Sasquatch package wheels too much. You can get the package and I guarantee someone who didn't will buy those wheels and tires off you in a heartbeat. People buy Rubicon wheels and tires all the time to throw on base or lower trim Jeeps.

Personally I would go with Black Diamond even if you don't get the Sasquatch package. I believe the front locker is supposed to be a standalone option on it as well. You just won't get the larger tires, flares, and upgraded suspension without the Sasquatch.

From building up my bone stock Wrangler Sport over the years, I wish I would have gotten something that came with more factory options. In the grand scheme, it's just so much easier to tweak parts and add little things than it is to do full replacements and major upgrades like lifts, lockers, and regears. They always cost more than you think because of labor.

I have another post somewhere saying something similar, but a bit more in depth.

Basically, I recommend upgrading as much as you can from the factory, and worry about small stuff later. It will definitely save you time, and could save some money over labor costs and there are always more parts than you think to make these things work properly... unless you can do it all on your own and know what you would be getting yourself into. Then do what makes you happiest!

Edit: Maybe Big Bend with Sasquatch, modular bumper, and add heated seats. Then buy vinyl seat covers and pull the carpets and maybe bedline the floors. All models should have drain plugs under the carpets like the Wranglers.

Also the front locker is not a stand alone option for Black Diamond without Sasquatch according to the chart.

I'm hoping its less because on top of the price of the Sasquatch you have to add the $1500+ Automatic transmission.

I edited my post to include possibility of Big Bend with Sasquatch.

I agree that the more difficult and expensive mods are the suspension, lockers, and gearing. Big Bend with Sasquatch, pulled carpets, heated seats, vinyl seat covers added later, and add the modular bumper (or do aftermarket later) might get you everything you want and it saves you from the hard stuff. One of the easiest mods to my Jeep was swapping bumpers.

If the Sasquatch package is $6500 I will not be getting it haha. That’ll make my decision easier to go for the BD. For $6500, I can get a much better lift aftermarket.

Know if the dealership would be willing to slap on a 2 inch lift and 33/35 inch tires? (The tires yea, the lift tho?)

I'm thinking the same. It definitely has the most Value from an Off roading and utilities stand point. Thats probably why I'm so attracted to it.

And ill be researching like crazy for the next year. Lol. And saving my money. Not a whole lot esle to do for a year while waiting. Lol.

I'm on a budget too, I was looking at the stock hoss suspension and its a premium off-road package. I mean do I really need blistien shocks when the ones on there will be more than efficient. And I can head to discount get some rims and tires I'm sure are way cheaper. The only thing I will probably get is the "suspension clearance" upgrade.
