Wow….. As a born in 1951 Marine Corps brat, I hope you can appreciate that I cannot consider a Toyota 4X4 a ”JEEP”. No offense as to their WORLD WIDE viability, reliability, and popularity (been all over the world in them). But don’t call or even think it’s a fucking JEEP.

I called it a jeep all the time. I had more important things to worry about I suppose.

Yep, people still don't understand why I've been waiting 3 years when they see Broncos (sport) all the time!

The Bronco Sport, fine vehicle tho it is, should not have the name "Bronco" on it. IMO.

It bugs me.

It's a completely different vehicle, has different DNA.

But Ford's nomenclature has never made any sense.

However, what Chevy did to the name "Blazer" is probably beyond the repair of any marketing department.

Reminds me of when I go to the Chick-fil-A drive thru. The stickers they put on the drink cup and bag, the vehicle description often says “white jeep”.

I think I brainwashed my kids. When out and about, I always have my kids point out Jeeps (Wranglers) and Broncos so they know the difference. Somewhat of a game we have going on now. Anywho, today when I dropped them off at school one of the teachers said "Did you guys get a new Jeep?"......my kids quickly said in the most disgusted tone "It's not a Jeep, it's a Bronco".

So I’m in the middle of a 5 day road trip from Maryland to the finger lakes around Watkins Glens NY to Niagara Falls. Haven’t seen a Bronco 2 or 4dr since leaving PA. There has been 12 people stop me to talk about my 2dr and 10 of them called it a jeep the only two that got it right were driving jeeps I mean maybe I should knock a bank two off with this type of vehicle identification I feel pretty safe.

Definitely not C. I try not to react negatively to someone who only had positive intentions (but just didn't know). Not knowing the law is one thing. Not knowing a bronco vs a jeep is not important in general. A person who doesn't know the difference between the two is not likely the type to ever buy either one, so it just doesn't matter imo.

We do the same thing and now they spot the other Broncos way before I do... My boys call out the colors and even trims sometimes!
