I'm still trying to figure out my exact wording but it'll be along the lines of...
We were anticipating x-plan leveling the play field. With that gone it's down to individual dealer incentives, including dealers who are voluntarily honoring x-plan. I understand you don't have any current deals or offers from MSRP. Would we be able to put something like a set of all-terrain tires on the table as a possible incentive over other dealers?

One of those things where you have to recite it over and over in the shower, picking your words.

I still want to know if Costco discounts apply. If I can get Costco and some KO2s in place of the mud-terrains, I'm happy.

I have 2 reservations and the 2nd one is a no brainer at Granger so if I cant make the first one work, I will walk without having to worry about anything. I do not know my current dealer terms yet, but i would stay if they "honored" xplan price. If they are hard headed and say nope MSRP, I will kick them to the curb faster then I can hang up or leave the dealer.

Dealer starts calling/emailing me in January or February to complete my order -
Me: “Can you match the Granger or Stephens deal? I’ll send you a link with details. Call me back and let me know.”

Dealer likely calls me back and pretends we never talked about the Granger/Stephens deals a couple days/weeks earlier-
Me: “I talked to Jim on X day and he advised he was going to look into matching this other deal. Since you don’t have any record of that convo I’ll send you the info again and just so you know I’m going to start contacting other dealers locally to see what they can do.”

It is March and I still don’t have pricing I want - I move my reservation to Stephens or Granger and place order.

I guess everyone has a different way of doing things. I try and not let myself get into a time crunch and would rather have things like pricing agreed to and out of the way, while I still have time to move my reservation. It's great that you have a back up plan with Granger. You should definitely use that as your leverage in pricing with your dealer #1.
I was thinking that the date to move reservations had expired back in early Fall. Did they change this again? I also may be very confused...I mean it's not like information concerning the Bronco's doesn't change daily. I tried to go back and look in my old emails and the terms and conditions of the reservation but I couldn't pin down the info about moving reservations.

You can move your reservation until March to another dealership as of now. I don't know the specific day though.

As a part of your reservation agreement with Ford, you are permitted to move your reservation even at the time you convert your reservation to an order. Because they have been delaying the order period, they have to move the dates for which you can move your reservation.

If you are paying cash, don't disclose that because they prefer to make extra money through the financing.
Can't emphasize this enough. In fact I would be exceedingly vague about ANY amount of down payment.

Let the salesman and finance manager have visions of a $60K loan earning them additional profit.

Don't lie, just be non-committal. Once you sit down with the finance manager let him tell you their offers and then let him know what you've decided.

Having said all that it was a no brainer to give my reservation to Stephens. I hope there are many DIO accessories I can enrich them with.

Is there a link explaining this process? Something I can do online? I've been in contact with my dealer a few times, but my family has had bad experiences with this dealer family..but the website was crashing constantly so I was kinda stuck with what I got. I might consider driving 9 hours to one of the promoted dealers.

Is there a calculation to figure out what the x-plan pricing would be?

To switch dealers, call 800-334-4375 and make the change with the Ford Customer Service Center. You need to know who you want to switch to when you make the call.

Is there a calculation to figure out what the x-plan pricing would be?
Ford A-Plan, Z-Plan, X-Plan, D-Plan Pricing: How It's Calculated and What You Need to Know - CarsDirect

X-Plan Pricing Calculation
The X-Plan is actually two programs that equate to a discount for friends, family, and groups with special affiliations with Ford.

The Ford Partner Recognition X-Plan is essentially a supplier discount that members of certain companies that do business with Ford may qualify for.

The Friends & Neighbors X-Plan is a much broader set that can be used by employees and retirees to sponsor purchases by family and individuals outside their family.

How it's calculated: Invoice - 0.4% + $275 program fee
Important to know that Ford has made the Bronco ineligible for X-Plan pricing, but some dealers will honor X-Plan pricing if you are an eligible X-plan partner and can produce an X-plan PIN.

Just copy the URL once you’ve checked all your boxes.

The URL of the B&P changes dynamically with every selection, so you can take the final url and plug it into any browser and it will create the exact same build.

The warning here is that it’s dependent on that staying true through B&P versions.

The most permanent way is to save your B&P out into a PDF (either print or export options). You can email that document too.

I keep a spreadsheet with my purchase math, and the URLs in there for each build, that way I can quickly share with people or edit my builds... but I have a folder of PDFs for historical reference.
Thank you

Yes, that's exactly my approach. Tell him/her I want to stay local and don't even need an exact match but need to see some movement. I've bought out of state before and it was WAY farther away than Des Moines. Plus Iowa has some cool local food - pork tenderloin sandwiches the size of a hubcap and Quad Cities pizzas, makes for a fun leisurely drive back. So I'm good either way it works out. :)

Not sure where In the forum this question goes but I’m sure one of you can answer it. How do you save your build configuration in a format that you can email it?
Hit the Print button on the webpage. When your computer pops up the print destination select PDF and then you'll save the whole thing as a pdf file to your computer. Each time there's an update to B&P I do a new build for the few config options I'm considering and save them. I've attached an example of one so you can see what I mean.

This is taken from the FAQ section of Ford's Bronco Reservations website (added emphasis by me):

Can Customers update their dealer selection for their reservation?

Customers may reach out to Ford Customer Support at (800) 334-4375 for assistance in updating their dealer selection through March 19, 2021. In changing dealers, there will be no impact to a customer's reservation ID, vehicle details, or the associated timestamp.
