If your Bronco hitch is lower than a leveled drawtube of your trailer, you can raise the ball (with the limit of the spare tire above) but is there a distance it becomes unsafe? There was a thread here some time ago when somebody went excessive and bent the frame by the leverage.
My patience is wearing thin with all those requirements like
- try to find a solution below the spare
- keep TBO (towball overhang, or distance from rear axle of car to hitch point) short to avoid adding weight to the axle
-effect of the rear drop
My trailer drawtube when leveled is 23" above ground, OBX with standard tires and OEM hitch is 18".
Still undecided on the hitching mechanism, was inclined to McHitch but now inclined to Cruisemaster DO35 V3 or ARK (if I can get it underneath the tire).
