If I can, forever. I hope my fiesta st and bronco last long enough for electric conversion kits to be viable options to keep them running indefinitely.

Keeping mine until the frame splits in half. I am willing to replace the engine, trans, t-case...maybe even axles. It might be the last new car I buy...well for myself as the wife will have whatever.

I will probably replace it from daily driving duty and it will be a pure toy like the 94 mustang is. I have had my 94 GT since May 1999 and the daughter (7) currently has said she wants it and helps me work on it. The plan on that front is to "let" her drive it 16-20 or whenever she buys her own car. With her driving it I will "replace" it with something mid engine like a used C8, cayman or build a factory 5 hot rod. Already planning on getting a 4post lift for the 3rd garage bay...sure glad we have almost 12ft ceilings in the garage.

Just out of my own curiosity. You’re going to buy a Bronco and pay a bunch of money on payments and down payments to trade it in, in 2-3 years? Why wouldn’t you just buy a Badlands now and not waste thousands of dollars?
It really depends on trade-in or resale value, plus the BL is out of my price range. I could also get a diff SUV now and wait until (if) I can get BD with manual and mid, but that may never even happen.

Until the Bronco Pickup comes out. Or a three year lease.

I tend to drive them till they drop or until I stuff them into something or someone stuff theirs into mine. I recently sold my 95 Lightning to make room in the stable. Haven’t had to sell a car in a long time. Plan for the Bronco is similar.

Keep it till the end. Hopefully 30 years, then passing it on to my son.

I plan on keeping mine for a long time. But, I’m going to beat the hell out of it. I’m going to take care of it mechanically. However, it will see some rocks, mud, snow, branches, etc.

My current Subaru STi is the longest I’ve kept a vehicle. Bought new in 2011 and have 82k miles. Its somewhat rare/unique and has a lot of $ in mods into it. I’ve only recently considered going back to stock and selling it for a new STi. The Bronco will be a very common vehicle but if I like it and modify it, it should keep my interest for many years. I will probably only put about 5k miles a year on it. The Bronco really has the fun factor advantage over alot of car. Removable top and doors, optional manual transmission, 4x4, lockers, etc. will take a long time to get bored of it. It’s not an Explorer.

Curious to see how much time others intend to keep theirs. Cheers!
I have never purchased a vehicle with the intention of only keeping it for a limited time. Past vehicles were either bad enough that they needed to be sold (rare), or handed down to children. I'm not sure my son would want to wait until I'm done with this one to get it as a hand-me-down. I guess I would say we'll own it until it becomes more expensive to keep it alive than it's worth.

I plan on holding my Bronco for a long time. My job shifted to work from home full time as an outcome of the pandemic so I expect my 15k miles per year average to severely drop. I’m hoping that translates to a longer life with the Bronco - 10+ years is my goal

My plan is to lease. Then decide whether to buy, get another one, or move on. I'm concerned about first model year cars.
Bought a 2004 first year Nissan Titan. Still have it 17yrs later. Not all first year vehicles are bad. Hope the Bronco has been perfected. It’s taken them long enough.

Gotcha! Well whatever works for you! I was just thinking the difference in cost has to be less than what you would pay with payments and all.
