The plan is a very long time. I'm turning 70 before this thing gets delivered, so other forces may have a hand in just how long that will be...
I usually trade at 1 1/2- 2 years. It will be about 2 1/2 years when the Bronco arrives and have about 3k on it. I've already passed 70, so this one may be the keeper. For that reason, it needs to hit all of the details.

I’m planning on a lease, have the option to keep it or maybe get one with more options after. If I love it (which I’m sure I will) then I’ll buy out the lease and keep it as long as it runs

For ever. I still have the Mustang I bought in 1991, the Explorer I bought in 1996 and the Fairlane my Dad bought in 1969.

As long as it's running and not smashed up I'll keep it. Keeping my 2011 Lancer that has 241k miles on it as a spare. Hope the Bronco lasts longer than that.

I've had my current truck since 2008, it's an 2006 with 140K on it. I have work car so I'm pretty easy on my vehicle. Should have the work car for another 2-4 years, getting close to retirement, will have 25 years in in May 2021 and eligible to retire two years from now. I'm guessing I'll have it for 8-12 years give or take!

I very much intend to keep this vehicle for 300K miles, granted it lasts that long. I’m the type to change the oil every 3k miles religiously. I’ve had a 2016 BMW 4 series coupe for 82,000 miles with zero issues, only regular maintenance. I hope to be the guy in 2065 with that mint high mileage Bronco. Curious to see how much time others intend to keep theirs. Cheers!
For eva. And eva. And eva and eva and evaaaaaaa

Until the wheels fall off. I had a 1997 expedition that finally died a couple years ago just short of 300k. I donated the carcass to Catholic charities. It was my first new vehicle purchase and good vehicle. It cost very little to maintain through the years. My youngest went from baby seat to driving it to college.

I’m going to drive my Bronco until you put one of us in the ground.

My whole life I have never had a cool, manly vehicle. Always clunkers, and then off to the east coast. Been riding subways, buses and the T (the spork of mass transit) for 26 years.

My wife had a nice little Mercedes coupe when we met. It was fast enough and handled great when it was young. But repairs were super expensive and the suspension could not stand up to the crap roads in NJ

Then we traded that in for an obligatory family hauler. Ford Edge, 2012. It’s spacious, handles well, has been very good to us. And never once in the history of ever has another fella looked at it and thought, “damn, I gotta get me one of those!”

Time to go have fun. Saddle up, boys. Time for the Bronco.

Typically, I keep my vehicles for about 5 years before I change to the new thing on the block. Trying to hold strong on my current rides and hopefully the Bronco as well!

Just until I can get BD w/ manual AND mid package, so 2-3 years.
Just out of my own curiosity. You’re going to buy a Bronco and pay a bunch of money on payments and down payments to trade it in, in 2-3 years? Why wouldn’t you just buy a Badlands now and not waste thousands of dollars?

I’ll be willing mine to one of my boys when I die... hopefully 50 years from now.
