Does anyone know if these hood insulators help stiffen the hood? Mine oil cans up and down after 70 mph

No. They don't.
I took the liner off and used 50mil sound deadner. I cut out pieces to fit into the shapes underneath. Then put the liner back on.
It helped a little.

Adjust the hood bump stops in the front corners. It will stiffen the closure of the hood and prevent the flex.

That helped a little but it's the pressure differential at highway speed causing flex in the hood material. There's not much to be done about it.

well fuck me.. popped the hood to investigate more and the bonding foam is all disbonded from the support structure and top skin.. it flops around so bad now that it put a small crease in the middle of the hood where it transitions into the step up.

Yikes. Hopefully that will be covered under warranty.

Older thread but for posterity I will put out there that my 2025 OBX with the lux package did NOT come with a hood liner. I picked up a foil lined one off Amazon.
