Question about the hoist: any reason the roof can’t be lifted turned 90 degrees? It’s hard to explain, but basically the closest wall is to the side of the Bronco, not in front
I don't think you would want to twist the roof while suspended on the hoist. It comes with plenty of rope, you don't have to be super close to the lift point. I'm probably about 10-12' from anchor point to lift point.

I wouldn’t be twisting it. Imagine it like this: I install the hoist normally as shown in my garage. However, I cut open the side of the garage and back the Bronco in from the side and lift the top.

Should be fine as long as you are lifting straight up & down. It's a fixed system, so it has limitations there.

That's what I would think. The only difference is that any weight difference would be side to side, instead of front to back.

My other thought is to air down the tires to lower the bronco enough to back it into the garage normally.
