Hitch light/stop-start

I hate the start-stop feature for various reasons. I got the bright idea of buying the Diode Dynamics hitch light as I read some people say it tricks the truck into thinking it’s towing thus disabling s/s. I installed it tonight and it works all but disabling s/s. Anybody have any words of wisdom?

Note that plugging in a trailer (or mimicking that) will also affect the blind spot monitor and/or parking sensors. Get the AutoStop Eliminator - it’s super easy to install and works great.
