I'm planning on installing a hidden winch plate and a winch on my 2023 Bronco Outer Banks Sasquatch, steel modular bumper, for summer runs. Haven't found either that looks to be decent. any suggestions?

Lobo makes the best option. Ideal for 2.3L and more complicated for 2.7L

I installed a Rough Country Hidden winch. It works well. The only thing I don't like is I can't reach the disengage lever. And there is a cross member right above the disengage lever. Maybe someone can come up with an easier way. That would be super!

I have the lobo. I fab up an extension with a 1/4" swivel so I can disengaging the clutch lever from the top of the engine compartment.

And nonexistent for the 3.0L…
That would be because the 3.0 has additional charge pipes they are trying to fit down there between the frame rails.... Does not leave enough space.

I am a BIG fan of the Hammer Built.... Background: I used to teach mechanical design (as well as materials and processes, physics and other things) at the local university.... It places the Winch right where you want it to be if you are doing stress analysis.... directly between the frame rails and behind the crush zone that ALL new vehicles are required to have. Best structural design I have seen... Then they inverted the mount (winch is upside down) placing the free spool lever within easy reach. (Look closely at the left side and you can see the lever where the black arrow on the yellow sticker are) Yes it only allows for a short drum, but I do not need to winch more than 50 feet and I am winching on the first layer (Most mechanical advantage and advertised capability) far sooner than other winches. Huge advantage. Very impressed with the brand new Mile Marker winch they have paired with it as well. Yes it will cost you... MOSTLY because you have to go to a high mount intercooler.... Yet that offers advantages of it's own with considerably better cooling and less heat sink than the stock intercooler. Win -win but comes at a cost... buy once cry once right?

Here is a pick without the skid plate... look how high and tight that is..... You can hardly see it... and still gives a good couple inches of clearance to the skid plate.

And yes I coated all of my electrical connections with liquid electrical tape....

Oh and that little LED light is actually rather handy... You can see the line spooling... Not as well as a bumper mount winch... but that little light is nice, you can see the spooling. BUT please f=do not be a dumb ass and put your head down there to see the spooling while you are using the winch... stop then go look.... If you are down there looking while winching and the line breaks... It might well take your head off... Just saying...

If I were choosing between the Lobo and the RC.... Hands down I would pick the LOBO.... That is the Mechanical/structural designer in me.....
