I am looking to order a bronco in February if the order banks actually open and am finding the heritage edition to be a value trim level. Getting the mid package, hard top, and sas package included in the price under $50k makes it hard for me to still want to go with the non sas black diamond with mid pack and hard top for $46,500. Anyone have an opinion?

I was told Ford has decided to limit Heritage production. No orders. Dealers will get one and likely only larger dealers. They can then sell the one for whatever they want. Pretty unlikely even that would not be before 24. Came from a pretty solid source.

I think that's just the "LIMITED" because it's limited to 1966 total. The regular Heritage I didn't think was affected by this.

i believe that number is only for the high end heritage the lower level doesn’t have a limit that i know of.

I personally hate the way they look and feel they are a money grab attempt (obviously everything they do is to some level) but I've just never cared for the look of the "retro" 6g broncos people have done let alone the toy car look of the Heritage Editions.

Everyone’s going to have a slightly different opinion. My opinion on the Heritage is … it’s the best (cheapest) way to get Mid and Manual trans. I don’t think Big Bend or BD allow mid package AND manual. Doesn’t seem reasonable but if you try and build you will see. So the Heritage becomes the only way to get SAS, manual and Mid under $50,000 I believe. If you’re going Auto then it sorta comes down to the look you want. I believe Hertitage is based on Big Bend though apples to apples. Black Diamond may have additional off-road goodies that heritage does not.

Your opinion on the HE is the only one that matters but the standard one is not limited to one per dealer as stated above. The thing you need to check on is the allocation and the waiting list at the dealer you want to order from once ordering opens back up. If there's already a list for any order then you go to the back of it and the allocation number is how many Broncos that dealer will get.

To me the HE is good bargain, yes manual and mid was only an option on the Badlands plus standard Sasquatch and the modular hardtop for under $50k amplifies that. My original order back in '21 was for a Black Diamond with a modular top, Ford kept moving it back to this MY and only on the Heritage, which was fine because I'm one of those that wanted a white top from the beginning.

Whether you think it's kitschy or Ford finally coming thru is on you, it's your money but where you fall in line is what should determine it because right now no one knows how long the Heritage package will continue, for the Limited it's MYs '23 and '24 who knows if the standard Heritage will go beyond or not.

Either way good luck, plenty here have an HE on order.

Heritage Limited (Badlands based) is a production-limited trim, and it's going to be practically impossible to get one anywhere near MSRP. The Heritage (Big Bend based) is not a production-limited trim... but constraints on that painted hard top is going to make it effectively a limited vehicle.

My opinion on the Heritage is the same as @Wilson66. It is the cheapest way to get the Mid and the Sasquatch package with a manual transmission.

Beyond that... depends if you like the look of it. For me, the look is a resounding "meh". I would have appreciated some chrome.

Well I really don’t think a “heritage“ offers any real “value” (I have no intreast in the 2.3 or manual trans) but it is pretty well equipped and looks good to me. The “square” fenders pushed me to pay the $7k ”Ford fee” and switch from a base to a Heritage. (Also wanted the mid package but couldn’t justify the big bend price upgrade for it). I may sell the wheels and top to make up some of price difference...just because I am cheap...(and I have over $10k in aftermarket plans)

You can get a heritage edition w/ the 2.7 just to let you know. You are not only limited to the 2.3

i find the heritage gimmicky,,, I would go with BD and SAS. You can always customize it to look more old school yourself if that is what you like.
