My experience with the Ford Performance Tune has been positive. 2023 Base 2 door manual, Yes it requires 93 Octane fuel but performance is quite peppy and the rev match on the manual trans is a plus as well. Much improved over Sport Mode. Performance Tune + Sport Mode is fun....
It doesn't require 93 octane, that is just for the full results. 91 octane is the lowest you want to run, otherwise it will start to pull timing.

I would go another direction on a 23 anyway. The tune and sport seem 100% equal. Gas mileage seens the same but your stuck buying super unleaded. I would go for the piggy back that is not subject to epa crap. A dealer can refuse a warranty for any reason and having them install it just means it may be done incorrectly.
Lol what? The tune changes the timing and requires the use of premium. It gives actual horsepower and torque gains, along with changing the shift points on the automatic. Sport mode just quickens the throttle response and changes the shifting somewhat.

The Ford Performance tune as installed by the dealer is warrantied for 3yr/36k per FOMOCO. Its not that hard to look this stuff up with the internet at your fingertips. Don't just spout trash if you have no idea what you're talking about.

Interesting, tried two Ford Dealerships in the area and neither will do the install. Ideas from those that might have had this issue?

It could just be those two particular dealerships don't normally do ford performance sales and installations. Not every dealer sells or installs Ford performance parts. You don't necessarily have to get it installed at a Ford dealership, any ASE red seal certified technician per Ford.

If some dealers are already declining to install good luck getting any dealers to honor any related/unrelated warranty claims even if officially dealer installed or ASE super tech installed.

I wouldn't go that far with it. One dealership said they would do it but hadn't done one prior and it would be a "learning curve". The second one didn't know what it was.
It's a Ford part with a Ford warranty.

Well it’s not a pedal commander so a dealer will know if it was installed/removed if considering DIY
