I'm starting to wonder if I'll ever get a Bronco. It seems like Ford would prefer to force me to switch dealers than to support the dealer who has supported me, so I also ordered a Grand Cherokee Trailhawk 4xe from Granger. Looks like a 4-5 month wait, I'm going to buy whichever one arrives first.

Put a reservation in on the new Grenadier. US market coming in 2023. Beginning to wonder if it will beat my Bronco. Honestly my interest is starting to wane on the Bronco after a year-and-a half.

I have a reservation that was converted to an order, that hasn't been scheduled.
I placed another (identical) order without a reservation at a different dealership over thanksgiving.
I have a friend that works at a 3rd dealership who called me and said a customer abandoned their order and it matched my build exactly except for the color. Ended up buying that one.

4 days after I bought my Area 51 Bronco, the order I placed at the second dealership was scheduled for build with an estimated delivery sometime in early April.

My original order/reservation still has not been scheduled.

Even if the Jeep gets there first, by all means still get the Bronco when it comes in. Abandoning the order will thrill the dealer. That way they can ADM it to the dumbasses out there who will pay 10 grand over sticker. Better for you to go ahead and buy it and flip it yourself if that‘s what you decide to do and put the dealer’s ADM money in your pocket….just a thought.

IMO the preorder reservation was a marketing gimic by Ford. I know there was a pandemic, etc. Don't buy it.

I may still buy both. I have reservations on many vehicles, but really it's a 3 way race between the Bronco, GC, and a Rivian Launch Edition. I can buy all 3, but only keep 2 max.

I’m going to Hollister Hills tomorrow morning with a couple buddies. One of them has a brand new trail hawk. It will be the first outing for the trail hawk and the bronco. He has been talking shit and thinking he can go anywhere my bronco can go because he can raise his shit up two inches. I guess now we can settle this.

They’re great cars. We have a grand cherokee limited that’s basically the same, minus the air suspension and some tow hooks. It’s the perfect suv for a ski weekend, but I know it’s limitations. This could get ugly for him, but I doubt he will take on all the obstacles that I plan to. Having said that, now I’ll probably break a tie rod half an hour in and never hear the end of it.

Kinda surprised you’re looking at a 4-5 month wait though. This guy found his sitting on the lot. Has the 5.7 and pretty much anything you can get on it. There were three of them on the lot when he got his two months ago. He got a smokin’ deal on it too.

I have zero expectation that the GCTH will match up with the Bronco offroad, but then again, I'm not going to be pushing a $60K Bronco to its limits in the rocks anyway.

The GC (and 4xe variant) is new for 2022, and I don't believe any TrailHawks have hit dealers yet. I know that 4xe's haven't yet begun production.

Sorry to ruffle your feathers! I have better things to do than try to impress strangers on the internet with my wealth, which is all relative. Heck, if I had enough of it, I'd have a 5-6 car garage so I wouldn't have to make such tough choices! 🤣

I'm just here b/c I love the Bronco and am really looking forward to getting one after making a reservation soon as the site went live.

Impressive... humble brag.
