I just checked with my dealer on my order (2022 Base, 2.3L, auto, aux switches, roof rack, HD bumper) and Ford told him that if we want to see the Bronco delivered in 2022, the HD bumper needs to be removed from the order. Delivery won't happen until 2023 with the HD bumper. To be clear, I am a late reservation/order holder - 8/16/21 reservation; 10/15/21 order. Has anyone else had this issue?
From dealer:
"your order is converted and the build time will go off the reservation date however I had to remove HD front bumper/front steel bash plate as Ford has told me no orders will be built in the 2022 model year with that option."
I'm definitely bummed out about this, since my bronco is already super basic, so the options I selected stand out and are important to me. This is a small local dealer that I trust. My father started working there in college rustproofing, and retired a few years ago after working as controller for decades. And, we've worked with this specific salesperson on other purchases. So, I know it isn't shady. Competent? Well, I'd say the Bronco is testing the competence (and patience) of salespeople across the board...
