Hey all,
I just recently bought and put in some fasteners on the 25 hard top. The intention was to have some anchor points for various things. I bought enough to replace all the anchors, however it looks like the new HT's come with this added rubber gasket/seal (which is nice). However, this does not allow me to use all of the fasteners. The holes are too close to the rubber, limiting the amount of anchor points. Has anyone run into this? I am pretty sure I could just get some washers to lift the fastener above the rubber and have it still be safe enough. I am looking to know if there are any recommendations on different fasteners? Possibly someone has already run into this?

I’ve taken my top off once. I remember that not all of the fasteners need to be removed to get the top off/on.
Maybe the one that doesn’t fit doesn’t need to be removed.

I am hitting them up to see if they have options. The ones that I have in the pic are not Rockworxs but if they have a solution, I am down for getting that.

Most likely the manufacturer was not aware of the 2025 top having the rubber seal/gasket. I'd probably just take an exacto knife and carefully trim the seal but that's me.

So are we thinking they made new improvements to the hard tops for MY25? Can anyone confirm or is this just on certain tops and not the MIC ones?

It seems like it? This is a 25 Painted HT for a Heritage so I am not 100%. But for all the images I have seen prior years with MIC, I have not seen this part on it. I haven't seen enough interior painted HT's to say. When I grabbed the fasteners (most are the size I have) I didn't think that the HT's were different. Clearly this one is.

That is such a nice top compared to the MIC! Ya reach out to RockWorx. A similar problem occurs on the MIC tops at the furthest to front of vehicle bolt, where there is a piece of plastic that protrudes, and Rockworx now supplies a thick plastic washer to go underneath the thumb fastener to "raise it" a bit. So a similar fix from RockWorx should do the trick for this.

Contact the makers. Obviously there’s something different in the 25 that they need to sell different ones for.

Buy a plastic washer the size of the fastener and dremel/sand off 1/4” off one side. Or just get one that is 1/4” smaller. Tighten down, problem solved.

Yeah. I mentioned that was an option from the start. I was more wondering about other options to buy and if this is a thing now for the tops.

The 24' don't have the issue with the front bolt, it doesn't have the rubber trim either. I wish I had the rubber trim, do you suppose it would it a 24'?

It’s a completely different top.

My 2024 WT (mfg date Sep 24) has the rubber strip next to the hard top torx bolts as well. What it "appears" to me is that if you have a Painted Top vice MIC top in a 2024 then you don't have the piece sticking up that interferes with the most forward hard top bolt and you have the rubber sound proof/cosmetic rubber strip. It is not the case on every 2024 model, so I'm simply using the process of deduction based on what others have said they have.
