How have you been resetting the oil service light?

I change the oil every other 6 months and I have been bringing it to the dealer annually. I do only live 30 minutes away from the dealer. Its NOT a light, it is a flashing message on the dash. Its not something you can "tape over". I don't drive enough miles to set off the reminder early.

There was a Y2K style glitch that appeared on January 1st that reset the service soon to something like 2000 days overdue. I just waited till July for the annual service. It really wasn't not distracting.

Agile has a good solution but it is ridiculously expensive. $450 initial purchase, $99 per year 3 years and beyond. I am hoping that there are cheaper/other solutions moving forward. I don't need the full functionality of the Agile device. At those prices, I might as well just pay the dealer to do the oil change. If I was driving a lot of miles, I would consider it though. Oil Change supplies from FCP Euro are pushing $90.

The dealership can also push out the date/mileage on the service reminder if you ask. Just ask for the maximum and manually keep track of the data. That is probably the easiest/cheapest solution. Make them do this before you take delivery.

I have had the Bronco since September of 2021 and Grenadier since Summer of 2024. I love them both.

Honestly I just laughed and shrugged. Far rather have the service reminder saying I was 2000 days over due than a recall. Every recall on my Bronco takes 2-3 trips to resolve (1st visit, yeah there is a recall, 2cnd visit, oh crap we don't have the parts, 3rd visit maybe they get it right)

Yeah, no worries, just thought that was funny. Sure wish I could try that steering out. I don't know I have any frame of reference for how it acts. But I've loved those trucks for a long time from a distance.

With enough tape, you can tape over anything.

The turning radius is a bigger issue, its comically bad. I just park and plan around it. Back into tight spots at the shopping center.

I have felt no need to modify the Grenadier. The only things we have added is Ceramic Coat, PPF, Tint and a button pusher for the auto stop start.

To be fair to the Bronco, recalls fix stuff so it works properly. No recall can fix many of the issues with the Grenadier - those would need a near to ground up re-design.

I wouldn't call anything on the Grenadier an issue, I would call it quirky. Everything works as designed. That is different the Bronco having hard top issues, wiring issues, fuel pump issues, seat bracket issues, back up camera issues, engine valve issues etc.

Don't get me wrong, the Grenadier isn't for everyone. Its kind of take or leave it. Wishing for more tech, a different steering system or luxuries is likely not going to happen. Its personal taste, not flaws. Heck the back up camera view is ridiculous, however I made it through almost 40 plus years of driving without a backup camera.

I just don't get the hate from either side (Grenadier owners bashing Broncos or Bronco owners bashing Grenadiers)

My 2010 Chevy SB single cab pickup has a miserable turn radius. If it's worse than that, I feel for ya. I do 3^4 carry the 2 turns, not three point turns. lol

On a different note, are you saying you don't have an autopilot in that cockpit??

I had a friend in high school who had an 85 Ram Charger that he drove into a big boulder on a turn that was put there to keep people from driving into a house (in a neighborhood, my sisters friend lived there... Even with the boulder it happened several more times). Anyhow, it bent the passenger side wheel up and after that you couldn't release the wheel or it'd immediately spin to the right 90deg. Like, death grip.

Great commentary- I loved the Bronco, and love this thing. It is a deliberate driving experience and a quirky truck. Super capeable, fun, and unique. If I had use for two cars, I would have kept the Bronco. Sold it to a bud, so still see it occasionally.

So I went from a 2023 Wildtrack to a 2024 Grenadier (base) in mid-March. My wife and I are 3 months into a 6 month road trip in it, both on and off road. I've got 12k miles behind the wheel of the Grenadier- my thoughts (in no particular order):

That's a great looking rig. I had a deposit on one back when Ineos first announced production. However I passed on it as its a bit too much coin for my taste. I'm not a huge gearhead so me working on it would be a miracle. For now, my Everglades does me right and I will smile at other people's Grenadiers. Have fun.




- This is the truck for those who hate big brother being able to track their every move. There is exactly zero connectiviy built into the truck. No cell, wifi, or OTA updates. No tracking. No remote opening. No app.
- Agile Offroad just released software that lets me reset the service indicator, adjust TPMS (the TMPS sensors do not automatically move on rotation), adjust most of the options in the BCM, with more abiltiy being released almost daily. If you are brave, programmer level access.
- It drives and rides like the solid axle truck it is; turning radis is measured in acres, not feet.
- The auto setting on the AC has a mind of it's own. I just don't use it.
- I have Fox 2.5 reservoir adjustable shocks on it which make a world of ride and control difference.
- Lack of steering return is easily fixed with Fox adjustable steering stabilizer.
- There are about 1/2 the number of ECUs in the truck compared to most vehicles. On purpose; less shit to break. No touch to lock/unlock, auto up windows, electirc seat with memory.
- These are not fancy trucks. Mine has no carpet. They all have drain plugs in the floorpans. Manual seats facilitate a good washout. My Bronco had far more features.
- All the third party addons come at premium. Think there is a Bronco tax? Check out the Grenadier tax!
- The going into Park thing is a "safety" feature for when doors are not closed. Offroad mode kills it; the Agile software will enable killing it in regular mode.
- Any orange waring that shows on the telltale screen can almost always be safely ignored. Most common is the speed assit warning because the system has not seen a speed limit sign for a bit. I can disable that with Agile software.
- ADS (lane keep assist) is available.
- The warning sounds are excessive- the low fuel bong is especially egregious. Disabled and adjusted by Agile software.
- You can pick up a new 2025 Fieldmaster for ~72k all day long; plenty of dealers willing to move a unit.
- As with every brand, dealer to dealer service varies wildly. There is NE dealer that apprently charges $350 to reset the service light. Warner and Sewel does it for free.
- Not a lot of dealers out there, but while on the road I am primarily using independent BMW shops for oil changes. They all have the right filter and oil for a B58 motor.

I did a ton of modifications to mine- it is defintely far from a stock Grenadier. 1.7/1.2 lift, Fox shocks, 35" Toyos (just replaced M/Ts with Toyo R/Ts becasue two of the M/Ts had sidewall failure), steering stabilizer. Fun truck.

Well there are a few (granted few) that could easily afford the grenadier that would still insist on doing all their own maintenance. I understand that can be difficult to believe these days, but there are still some of them around.

Reading the forums I think their are fewer and fewer that own a Bronco that do their own maintenance.
