If you can't get satisfaction on your own--or by going back to the dealer with a 250-lb body guard-negotiator with lots of tattoos and piercings, try lodging a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. In my experience, they take steps to make the vendor and consumer work things out and, failing that, put a black mark on the vendor's record. Most vendors try to avoid BBB demerits--it can really hurt their bottom line.

It’s hard for a half way decent man to screw over a nice lady. Play the game get the bronco.
I think this is your best angle. Play it out, and even ask why they are taking advantage of a woman. What the hell, use it to your advantage. If they still want to be @ssholes, then release the Kraken.

Do this! People can say what they want about him, but he has helped out people with surprise markups.
Hit up @mrlevine on Twitter and explain the situation to him. No guarantees but he has helped several people on this forum with similar situations.

ford better get control and start cutting shit dealers out.

i don't think they understand this isn't amazon selling other products, they vehicles they are selling are ford, the same name used in most dealerships.

just leave a review and call the place fucked royally by ford

edit: did you get the msrp in writing? if so, you have a strong case and can get media support.
Time was when a person’s word was their bond and a dealership’s name meant something in terms of service, trust and quality. State of the art now get it in writing in triplicate, cc the LLC, review by the legal staff for form and legality, strategize for greed and arrogance. Shame on the customer who takes a reasonable commitment at face value, thinking some piece of shit car salesman should be remotely trusted.

Dealer has been added to the Hall of Shame.

Actually got a good feeling about this one. I think they back down when the boss gets back and finds out Billy has been screwing up the dealer's reputation again. Let us know how it goes.

I placed my reservation 9/20. In March I placed my order with Billy Albright. Through our discussions he assured me MSRP price. My order was pushed to 22 and just last week I finally got my VIN, then the following week I was notified they would charge a markup of $5000. I sent my Price Protection number that Ford gave me to my salesman and his response was all of our vehicles are priced over MSRP. I called Ford to make a complaint but now I feel like I have no options. Over a year of waiting just to be told after I finally have a VIN that they will not not honor MSRP and over charge $5000.

I don’t think so. The Mike Levine advice is spot on; he has definitely helped resolve a few of these situations.

Speaking to the GM in person is another good angle. Be patient, be polite, but be firm and very persistent. Don’t let them run you off or get you to lose your cool.

Another possibility is figuring out who the Ford Zone Manager is and enlisting their help. They seem to have a decent amount of sway with the dealerships. This isn’t easy to make happen though.

Anyone who wears sunglasses in their marketing photos I have zero trust for
Probably the day they took the picture, a customer gave him a nice shiner for the same BS they pulled here. Thus the sunglasses.

Sorry I hope this gets resolved.
