Front Plate Solutions?

I ordered one of HBTFD's brackets, he shipped it fast and I felt the price was reasonable for ones i was seeing online. the wildtrack came with the standard bumper so I'm guessing thats what's also on the OBX I think unless you upgraded.
Unfortunately for me the dealership had already got the standard plate mount on before I got a chance to tell them not to install it, we stupidly assumed they would have waited till the paperwork was signed to mount it but it was on when we showed up the day after it arrived at the dealership . But the location of the plate honestly doesn't look horrible to me right now in person, I might leave it or move it in a month or so and just repair the holes if I choose use the other bracket.

There is a difference between required and enforced as always. Down where I am in RI its required but not enforced. I went with this shackle mount:

Fits great under the back seat. I only need it for inspection.

I live in Minnesota, where front plate licenses are required. I went the very simple route and used some matte black stainless steel zip ties (Was concerned plastic may freeze in cold and/or crack or melt from hot engine) and a bungee cord to secure in place. Total cost under $5.00

I went with the HBwhatever plate mount from the link in the second post. It fits and works fine for $30. Mine did have the plate leaning forward a bit, so I pushed it back to vertical. I’ll probably do something else later, like remove the plate. Anybody know how much the “convenience tax” is in MA for no front plate?

No we can't discount light bars with codes.

Our bracket "kit" already included a discount though, that's why the code does not work.

$40 I think. I’ve not been able to figure out if it would affect insurance though.

That said, I’ve had no front plate for 23 years and only have gotten a verbal warning once for it. I’ve even been pulled over for other reasons and the police didn’t notice.

Not a big deal for me with the Bronco now though, so I am using the 4x4TruckLED solution.

Problem is the annual safety inspection, most places won't issue a sticker without a front plate.

On my Audi, I used strong magnets taped on w/ gaffer's tape to hold it to my bumper for the duration of the inspection. The zip tie solution would prob be a good one for this and the Bronco.
