Hey guys... We just recieved our 22 OBX. 2" zone lift and 295 70 18 going on this week.
Im dreading the front license plate install. Has anyone come up with a solution that they dont regret?
Thanks in advance

Did you find an option yet? If not, I put one on my Badlands from Archetype Racing. Bolts right on top of the HD Mod bumper - left or right. I put mine on the passenger side, with innermost hole locations. Keeps it out of the way of the headlight, detracts nothing from approach angle. No drilling. :)

Won't reduce my approach angle, get snagged near the bash plate, and is securely mounted.

I haven’t had a front plate the last 22 years(800,000 miles) driving in CA and MN where they are required. I’ve had a handful of speeding tickets in that time but was never ticketed or stopped for not having a front plate. IMO, the small chance and minuscule price of a fix it ticket is worth the risk to not clutter up the front grill/bumper. All of us have different risk tolerances so I get it if you want to follow the letter of the law. My wife has a front plate on her SUV.:)

Built-Rite for me. Why is everyone hiding the plate? 1000 people see mine everyday?

Ah yes, the good old "What? My license plate is GONE???" excuse. It works great but it's a one-shot trick in a small town.

Front plates are very problematic with higher end Broncos as virtually any sane place for one is either blocking a sensor or airflow to a radiator. I'll probably bolt mine to the bash plate or something out of the way, laws regarding plate visibility in Texas are very ambiguous.

We’ve always lived in a state that requires a front plate and have a front plate on only 1 of our 5 vehicles. We have 5 drivers and none of us have ever been pulled over or had a ticket for not having a front plate. Together we drive now drive about 80,000 miles per year. Your mileage will vary but speeding tickets our my biggest concern.

Man, that must be great. I've only gotten one ticket for a missing front plate and another for having too much dust on my rear plate. Several warnings for both though. The closer I get to New Mexico, the less trouble I have, since it's a one plate state and I guess cops just expect to see a lot of NM guys traveling for oilfield work with no front plates. Having something simple to fix gives the cop an option to give you a lesser ticket if you were speeding or your insurance was out of date or whatever, but it also works the other way around...if they pull you over because of a missing front plate, that opens the door to further scrutiny.

The standard bumper that comes on the obx
I have a standard bumper as well and found the @HBTFD solution completely to my satisfaction. I just drilled 3 small holes in the plastic rock guard below the bumper and mounted it there.
