Thanks for the groan man I really hate posting on this forum and this’ll definitely be the last time. Even though this is my first time seeing the license plate info, your summary was actually useful to prove that there doesn’t seem to be a good option, so my point is still valid and thank you. I look forward to some other less childish responses.
My apologies.

I was exacerbated last night because as a person on the forum who tries really hard to keep good information flowing and new people enlightened, one of the biggest hurdles is a brand new thread that will go to the top of the (terrible) forum search results that doesn’t bring new info or insight… and just re-asks a same question.

You had an honest realization and question, and I personally think there is a ton of good info to learn (about how people have already problem solved this and are going to approach solving it) in those existing pages and pages of discussions.

I guess what got me worked up was all of the random pictures posted in this thread of bronco’s without front plates. That’s going to clog up the forum’s image search results, and screw up the google search algorithm, when myself or anyone else tries to search for the older threads where this has been discussed.

I’m sorry my “sigh” was enough to push you off the forum…. typically I just passive aggressively post links to the other threads so people who are searching for their answers can see them when a newer thread is at the top of the list or pops up in their search first.

@ZackDanger , thanks for all your support on this forum. You are usually faster than google and most times more accurate. And when your not, your always quick to admit.

Coming from the great state of Iowa where the wonderful state government has mandated front license plates on all vehicles, I must must find a new location. The one Ford has given us sucks ass...

I will find alternatives or say screw it and go without as long as I can...

I'll mount it low on the bumper, but absolutely not letting anyone drill a painted surface.

I think I am going to go with a recovery point mounted plate until I see something that might be better. Not an ideal solution but may work ok.

@ZackDanger is a huge contributor to this forum. If he wants to "sigh" every now and then, while using his personal time to provide links to loads of information, I'm OK with that, and we should give him a pass to do so.

Has the quote "I'm a drivers wife, I don't work" ever been more appropriate than for folks who can't use the search function? HA HA HA!!!!

Gotta be careful with that freedom of speech thing. You had the freedom to post something without doing a lick of work to search for the answer yourself, yet bemoaned somebody else and sought to silence their "voice" in nudging you towards searching.

There is certainly irony in that.

However, to be "less childish", and that you've already poo-poo'd all the information/resources that were provided for you. I'm looking forward to reading about the ideas and implementations that you come up with as a result of seeing what wasn't the correct answer for you individually.

Please help us all, this is what the forum is for, your content will be valuable.
