Man, what fun times those days were, I presume '99?
Married in 99, yeah. That first ride was in the early 90’s. 🤣🤣

I could keep you entertained for hours with my stories. When I say “been there, done that” I’m not trying to brag, I’ve just done a lot shit in my life. 😁

Oh, saw the 25yr anniversary and thought you two been together since then.

I'm willing to listen, Decker Cain

Agreed, I like each vehicle for what they do well, but my BRZ is clearly superior in pavement handling to my Bronco. While Bronco does well for it's class, pavement handling is not it's design forte compared to dedicated pavement sports car handling.

Other than soaking up some bumps better, the Bronco is a bit of a boat in terms of handling by comparison, it's just the reality of the design for pavement. I'd encourage the buyer to be realistic in terms of vehicle usage when making a purchase decision
What year BRZ? Drove a FRS once, loved it, one of those vehicles I always meant to test drive again but never got the chance to.

I'll bring it up to him, he does have a Ridgeline for daily, so it'd be a toy to replace the toy

Of course this is why I don’t say I know it all. 😆😆 Had to look up that name, had no idea who that was. Google works like a charm. 😁

Not too much of a video game guy. When I was a kid the only thing out there was Atari. To me a remote control was me sitting in front of the tv changing channels until my dad said to stop. Interweb and cell phones were non existent. When I took computer science in high school they taught you the binary system. 1s and 0s. 🤣

I have a tendency to drive too fast so my wife was happy when I sold my hemi Wrangler Rubicon and Mustang and bought the Bronco. Pre-req was Bronco had to be at least as trail worthy as the Jeep, which it is. I do miss the Mustang at times, but very happy with my decision.

Still a good story. I turned my gaming into writing, just been lazy looking for lit. agents and publishers, but I digress. How far we've come

Damn, that's old, I still remember the horrors of dial-up and getting yelled at to get off the internet, also how crazy things are these days, how far they've come. Can't watch old movies though, remember one october on AMC they were playing Friday the 13th and it's like "Text everyone the killers in the house!" and "RUN BITCH, RUN!!!"

Also no one ever listens to Decker, he even laments that.

First gen 2014. Got it used but in nice shape, back when Ford had the long delays in Bronco production. Silver lining of the delays - never knew what I was missing compared to normal handling vehicles.

Combo of my BRZ and Bronco is kind of best of both worlds for the different functionalities. Love whipping the BRZ around on pavement, it's such a nice handling vehicle. But I'm not putting kayaks on top or off-roading it - enter my Bronco. :)
Nice, what mods have you done to her? I wanna know more about the BRZ

Nothing wrong with fast, it's more can you handle the speed

neither are very good/practical street vehicles…the ‘16 GT convertible with whippel supercharger I traded for ‘23 bronco 2dr 2.7 Sasquatch was fast and handled great but there is that “driving a slow car fast is more fun than driving a fast car slow” thing…on the street it was kind of boring 99% of the time but the push button top and cooled seats made up for a lot of that…the bronco is pedestrian, handles terrible on the highway and calling it a convertible is only true if you are comparing early English sports cars, but it is engaging and of course can go off-road better than most anything in the showrooms…I would have kept the mustang if my back wasn’t so screwed up (for that 1% and push button top)…the bronco is more fun to drive on the street (slow car) and allows me to get back out on the trails in my old age but my daily is still my Model A…

Yeah, I am and I feel it too. 😆 Born in 67. To me an old movie would be the spaghetti westerns of Clint Eastwood. 😁 God I loved those flicks. Not much talking but you could cut the tension with a knife. Not everyone’s cup of tea though.

Was a roofer back when cell phones were just beginning. Boss had a bag phone. The SOB would be swerving all over the road on the way to job site. Come to find out he would get a call and was trying to hang out the window to get reception. On job sites he would climb up on the a/c units to try and get a better signal. 😆 That shit was hilarious.

I remember a decade ago going to Groveton NH when we were working on the paper mill there, having to reverse up a hill in some guys driveway so my dad could get reception, burnt my clutch up xD

I remember those days like yesterday, as Dad owns the demo company and to this day he's always on the phone. Everything you're telling me is Deja Vu all over again

My current boss, trucking/excavating, is the same way. His phone rings non stop. Never writes anything down but remembers it all.

My Dad's business partner is calling every 5 mins, because he forgets something and then remembers

Best is he's around the corner and calls anyway, like take a min and chill.
