I have a 2022 Outer Banks read about forscan and purchased what I needed....Lets start simple turn off stop/start. so I go in and turn it off when I did i noticed a small grind noise but figured it was normal. Go to test drive and as soon as key on Service charging system soon. So I go to forums and yea it happens just put it back how it was. So I go back in and put it back enabled, still Service charging system and stop/start still not working. Does for scan harm modules or what is going on?

When making changes, it's normal for the Bronco to make weird noises and for Forscan to tell you to turn ACC power off and on or do other odd sequences, depending on what you are doing.

Most of the time Forscan changes, so long as you can reverse them to the way things were, won't hurt anything. There is the potential you could brick something (i.e. get it in a state where it either just locks up and stops responding, or you can't get the change reverted back). If that happens - your stuck and probably need to get a bigger hammer. I've never had that happen with Forscan, I don't hear about it often - I just mention that it is a remote possibility if something goes bad. That's the primary reason I always have the battery on a tender while making changes, and the first thing you do on any new vehicle with Forscan is download and save the factory settings for each module, and keep those files handy.

For your issue, you may need to "reboot" your Bronco.

Try this:
General Reset for Wierdness
Unplug the negative battery terminal for about 5 minutes
Reconnect the negative terminal
This reboots all the modules and computers in the Bronco
Use a trickle charger rated for AGM batteries:
Connect (+) to the (+) battery terminal
Connect (-) to either chassis ground or the side tab on the (-) battery terminal
DO NOT connect directly to the (-) battery post
The BMS system must see the charger and going directly to the (-) battery post will bypass it.
Let the battery trickle charge over night. Low battery voltage, or just the BMS thinking there is low battery voltage, can cause a lot of odd things to occur and this corrects for that possibility.

Once you've done that - go back into Forscan and make sure you reverted all your changes back to Factory -- reloading from a save file if you have one.

I will also say - disabling ASS from Forscan is hit or miss - some people had great luck, some models it just doesn't work with Forscan. There's something different across various models (and different model years) and I don't know that we got it quite worked out what exactly it was.

Just to more directly answer this... Forscan is not supported by Ford in any way. Forscan is a 3rd party tool created by a developer in Russia back when Ford had a partnership with Sollers. As you've noticed... Forscan tends to be a rather buggy piece of software.

Stuff you do with Forscan is fairly safe as long as you know how to undo your changes.... BUT.... it is possible to mess up stuff beyond repair—been there done that a few times. Twice was my fault, the third time was because there was a bug in Forscan I didn't know about. So ya know... do so at your own risk.

As @Brian_B said disabling ASS is very hit or miss... particularly on 2023/2024 vehicles and later. Although one of the guys in my cars and coffee group couldn't get it to work on his 2021 either.

So, mine did the same after trying to disable start stop. The battery charge light was on and everything was fine. Had to use FDRS to reflash the BCM module to newest level and it was fine after that. None of the other changes ( global up, amber horizontal lights, goat modes added) caused concerns).
