Ford Performance Winch Kit

I found one for $1,100. Is it worth that? Or would I be better off getting a solid winch bumper? I’m leaning towards the Fab Four Stubby.

Also, I have the capable bumper and am nervous about some of the mods required to it.

It’s a pretty good kit all in all. One of the few that includes frame mount reenforcements

The winch alone is close to that. It's a good deal i.m.o.

The modifications for the capable bumper weren't bad I.m.o., though it will require grinding/cutting a tiny bit.

Does the Ford performance winch setup include specific directions, especially pertaining to Cspable bumper or do you have to fly by the west of your pants to install??

@RagnarKon has a great post on what you have to modify - for the most part you would largely follow the same directions as the mod bumper though. It's really only the recovery points and a bit around trimming the bumper itself you'd need to do any deviation.
