Not sure how you arrived at that conclusion. Most likely, people adding the tune on earlier years had more problems because they did it when the tune just came out and a lot of people didn't read the directions and follow them exactly.It all depends on the year. It seems that if you have a later model Bronco the ECU / ProCal upgrade goes much smoother. If you have an early-year Bronco 2021 / 2022, they are problematic.
I have a 2022, installed it myself and it couldn't have been less problematic. I did have to read instructions--which I am loathe to do--but it was as easy as the code reader thing I used on my 07 Jeep to change the tire size for 35s.
The Ford Performance account creation tripped up some people, but it's really just paying attention to detail.
I also vote for installing it yourself or finding an SAE "Red"? Mechanic, ask them what their favorite beer is, and bring a 4ski, sixer, suitcase, etc. of it.
