Has anyone here bought the OEM hard top from Ford Performance, and had it installed at a dealer? A lot of the hard top options charge an arm and a leg for shipping, so the $350 installation fee seems like a relatively cost effective option, plus it's installed for you. If any of you have done this, I have a few questions about the process.
1. What does the process of co-ordinating with the dealer and Ford entail?
2. Are there any other fees and what not that will surprised you?
3. What did the dealer do with your soft top? Will they generally hold onto it until you can bring a truck and take it away?
4. How long did it take to arrive? I've purchased enough stuff from Ford and picked it up at the dealer to know that the shipping times are a fib.
5. Is there anything else that you would consider important to know about buying the hard top this way? Any regrets?
