Today I installed some Rigid Ford Racing fog lights in my Bronco that didn't have OEM fog light wiring and had a non-capable bumper ... AKA plastic bumper, cheap bumper, OEM bumper, Ect. For the power switch I used AUX 3 on the upfitters for the 6.7 amp load.
HOWEVER....
Ford didn't send the screws with the new lights and because I didn't have old fog light screws I was out of luck. So after 3 trips to Lowes, I have found the correct screw size for the bronco since AI didn't know.
Fog light bracket screws for factory non-capable plastic bumper ...
(Four screws on each side eight in total)
Diameter - M5
Thread pitch - .8
Length - 20 mm
Since the USA isn't big into metric, It was a big struggle finding stuff at the hardware store in the great state of Texas. But I found some SAE washers that fit decent even though they aren't M5 size.
Washer Size #8
This is a finish washer, It has a rounded off donut shape for screws with a round head, you will probably need this since the base of the metric screws are rounded. Even though its not metric, it still fits Rigid brand fog lights.
For installing the hardware, Turn the steering wheel all the way one direction to give you more body room in the wheel well to snake in the lights and hardware. A stubby screwdriver helps tremendously. When you have the lights aimed right, tighten the screws.
I think I made a contribution to the Bronco community by trying out hardware in the hardware store parking lot. Hopefully this helps
