I have a question if any of you can help I appreciate it.

Has anyone put after market fog lights and grill lights that you purchased, and have it attached to the pre wired auxiliary panel in your Bronco by a auto service? If so, what was the labor cost? My dealership is asking 1000.

TIA

That quote seems a bit expensive to me. I installed trail marker lights and grill lights on my BD, working in my driveway and it didn’t take very long.

Do a search of your local area for performance or off-road shops. They might be able to do the installation at a lower cost.

Fog lights on the a pillar took more time to route the wires cleanly than it did to actually install and connect and even then it took me less than an hour. Not sure what you are having installed for fogs but seems steep - taking the grill off and installing the grill lights - still shouldn't be that long - grill comes off pretty easily. I'd try and do it yourself or get another quote. Even at $200/hr 5 hrs seems like alot.

They quoted me 8 hours for both. Which I thought was ridiculous. I had extention seat belts in the back and he said 100. I said all you have to do is cluck them in. I was going to do that myself anyways. He goes well I never looked in the box🙄

Check facebook for local Bronco clubs, or the Clubs link here on B6g. Gotta be someone local that would help you out. Plus you'd meet new Bronco friends for adventures.

Edit: Ah, I see you've joined some Bronco clubs. (y)

Why would you go to a dealer for this? Geez....
I didn't come on here for criticism. I came on here for help. If I knew how to do it I wouldn't be on here now would I. Guess I will go somewhere else where the forum is friendlier🙄

I didn't mean that...but what can you expect from a dealer? They're always going to be way over market rates....find a smaller shop. This is pretty easy work...sorry if I stabbed and left a mark!

And in line with other suggestion above, you might find someone on here nearby who'd do it for fun.

Yes I have. I have owned Jeeps for decades traded one

I have owned Jeeps for decades, all from the same dealership. Sold one of the Jeeps the Rubicon for the Bronco. Both Jeeps have lift kits, shocks, rims, tires, etc. Our Jeep dealer never even came close to these prices.
So yes this came as a complete and total shock.

In the meantime, I am looking. I found a couple of videos. The most it should take is close to a little over 3 hours.

You're dealership is ripping you off. NEVER take your truck to a Ford dealer for accessories.

We charge $200 to install our fog kits on Broncos with upfitters.

We charge $100 to install the Putco BRONCO emblem on trucks

Way too expensive! I put in the Mabett fogs in the modular bumper connected to overhead switches and the guy charged me $100
