Flat towing using capable bumper D-Rings

I was told by my 4x4 shop that the capable bumper would not allow the tow bar to be hooked up to the D-Rings the way it can on 3rd party bumpers such as ADD. Can anyone confirm or dispute this and if it is true, is there something that can be done to harden it? I don't want to mount a Blue Ox type baseplate because I would lose my recovery points.

I have the standard, non capable bumper. I use the Blue Ox for that bumper, they mount under the frame. I think they would work with the Capable, but you would have to trim the skid plate.
The Capable tow ring mounts are not of a standard profile so they won't work, as your shop said.

D rings not suitable for hooking up a tow bar. No soup for you!

You can install the recovery points from the Modular bumper onto the capable bumper with little modification. They would be better suited for towing.
