Same.
Are maglights LED now? Or do the batteries last longer? My surefire is a fraction of the size and many times brighter than the tradition maglight
I like a Maglite for some stuff (they do make a 1000 lumen LED) but a small surefire defender is my go to as it's just easier to have on hand!

My thoughts as well, there’s much smaller, better options out there.

Coming from someone who uses flashlights all day, everyday at work.
The mag lite is more than just a flashlight.

The 80s are calling... Don't break hard or you'll have a 10lb torpedo under your feet.

Can't see this setting still hitting 60 on the back roads. It's going to roll under your feet and stick your accelerator to max. Wait, that was Lexus...

I’m all for beating someone down with an old school D cell mag lite, but there’s lots better choices for lighting if that’s what you need. Looks good though. Baseball bat (and glove or ball) is a good choice too.

Yeah - I'm past the mini-baseball bat sized flashlights. Different ideas of EDC I guess, but I have my Surefire E2D Defender and my CRKT HIssatsu Folder with me everywhere - at a minimum

I begrudgingly accept this. So many other lights are far superior in every way but weapon capability.
I totally agree. I always have an Olight on me and another one in the glove box but I still think that maglite placement is great and might add it to the list.

Great bundle. You can run the wire under your seat and pop it out in the center console for easy charging.

You get the maglite AND recharge capability in one.

I prefer flashlights that run on 18650s for easy battery swaps, but this kit is going to work great for an emergency light.

Maglites are still used by police and security because they make great weapons, and break windows nicely. Multi use tools are always a plus.

I remember from CLEET the instructor telling me repeatedly that a Mag Lite is NOT a weapon, but if you are in a deadly force situation you hit them with anything you can get your hands on and hopefully you will have a Mag Lite close at hand! Sure fire are awesome lite’s but the weight of those D cell’s is a huge benefit.
