Yup - magnetic. I bought them with the Element extinguisher. Any place that sells Element will have the magnetic mounts.

Personally the reason I still keep a mag-lite around is due to how absurdly long the batteries last. The 3-cell C series is rated at 153 hours in eco mode. I'll get a proper tactical light for camping too, but for an all purpose light to have around that does its job extremely well, it still has a place in my toolbag.

STREAMLIGHT for me the end.
Lifetime warranty on the units. Switch goes out, send it in, they fix it and maybe upgrade other beat up things like the lens and such. The light is for life, buy a new battery every decade.
I love the Stinger series, Strion series, I HIGHLY recommend the Strion Switchblade for working on cars, home repair etc. it is my favorite at work.
They are local to me, and employ people in my community. I appreciate this in addition to the product and reasonable price.
I wonder if the flashlight should go in the other direction to make sure it doesn't slide out under heavy braking? Does it ever move in the bracket?Found a great location to mount a Maglight on the driver’s side seat rail

Used all kinds of lights in the past found streamlight to work best for me

When I first started working as a driver at UPS we had and old school manager that would give those mag lights to all new rookie drivers. His idea was they would light up houses at night a keep bad guys and dogs at Bay. Some old drivers still have them mounted in there trucks.

I’ve been carrying a Fenix P1D or PD25 light daily for over 10 years. I have only broken one with a three story drop from the mezzanine in the parts department onto concrete, they are great lights for the price.

Hey don't knock mag lights they are old but have stood the test of time. They are popular because of there dual purpose. Did anyone mention you can use them as a weapon.

Yeah, we had discussion last year or the year before explaining the difference between 8 tracks and Cassettes. At least every knows about vinyl these days. We won’t even get into Reel to Reels!
