Fixed rear trailing arm

I see company's like Camburg and RPG selling fixed lower rear trailing arms. ( no adjustment) Then Icon and some other company's selling adjustable lower rear control arms.
I thought the lower adjustable control arm would help center the rear axle when lifted?
Is this not something to worry about with only about 2 inches of lift?
Any preferences towards adjustable or fixed?

If you’re changing them, change both lower and upper + the trac bar so you can increase articulation. Most aftermarket manufacturers use better joints that will flex more than stock.

As to adjustable vs fixed, if you or your installer know what you’re doing go adjustable. You can dial in pinion angle with just lower rear adjustable links. You would need both upper and lower adjustable arms to move the axle forward/backward in the wheel well.

You pretty much got it. The lower links adjust the wheelbase, and the upper links adjust the pinion angle.

If you just want to increase articulation on stock or moderate lifts, the fixed arms are fine as they all have more articulation than the hard rubber bushing Ford uses. If you are going 4+ inches, you definitely want adjustable and probably rear bar relocation bracket as well.
