I was looking at the pics and wondering the same thing. The pushed in "split" is a lance, that is where the 2 halves of the crossmember fit together. One half sits on the lance from the other half, this helps sets a consistent width for the crossmember when it sits in the tool while being welded. So I’ve been looking at the second picture trying to find the crack you mentioned but I can’t see one. Are you talking about that frame divot with the split looking area? Because if so, we all have that. Here is mine for reference.
Same, I've looked at both pics and can't see a crack in weld or bent mount...So I’ve been looking at the second picture trying to find the crack you mentioned but I can’t see one. Thanks! I think there is definitely a difference between 2 and 4 door where it rubs. My diff skid actually rubbed the back corner of the gas tank skid (aftermarket) . I’ve got a fair amount of that, maybe a good 1.5” I can remove from that back corner. Adding that I did run the 4 link with no rear swaybar for a bit, including a wheeling trip. now I have an Antirock. im hopeful that i can eliminate the issue for my 4 door setup with all of that.
