Adjusted the braking sensitivity 2 times and got it dialed in. 180 miles.
No problems except:
1) "check brakes" message when coming out of neutral tow mode. I have seen this before on my F150. Goes away as soon as engine is started.

2) To level out the tow bar with rather high baseplate hookup, had to install the 6" hitch lift. Now I have to completely remove the tow bar assembly from the motorhome in order to open the motorhome garage door/ramp. Before, I could just unlock the tow bar and fold it to the ground.

I did stop and check multiple times it was still in neutral tow mode. I had also tested by putting it in flat tow in the garage a couple of nights and leaving it for hours, also while working around it with the fob in my pocket.

- Demco Stay and Play braking system
- BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH Roadmaster Kit #751509
- Curt 58992 tail lighting harness
- LED braking indicator at motorhome dash using existing brake control (blue) wire
- Blue Ox baseplates for modular bumper
- Roadmaster Sterling All Terrain tow bar kit
- 6 Way trailer receptacle (mounted on plastic trim piece on bumper)
- Roadmaster (048-6) Hi-Low Hitch

I DID hook up and verify 12V charging from the motorhome. (thru a 30A self resetting breaker at the Bronco battery and fused on motorhome side)

Wouldn't the Bronco get tired pushing that beast around?

My set-up is very similar to yours and so far have been happy (fingers crossed). Glad everything is working for you. I too have had the anomalous check brakes message occasionally. First time it kind of scared me and I engaged and disengaged the parking brake a few times and made sure the parking brake was off before driving the Bronco. I have a 2.3L with automatic transmission. After a couple of starts and drives on the Bronco the message goes away...

One curious re-occurrence of the message - the other day I was waiting in line on a downhill slope at the dump transfer station while towing my trailer with a light load. I put the Bronco in accessory mode and the gear shift in neutral and just coasted down the hill while in the long line to enter and applied the brakes as needed. The last time I did this while pressing on the brake with everything off it felt like I got some brake assist and the message came on. I started the Bronco and finished my drop off with the message still there and the same thing as when I flat tow happened, the message eventually went away. Slightly different situation than flat towing since the Bronco was "on" in accessory mode with the brake applied as opposed to being off in flat tow mode. Still curious though.

Not sure why you would put in neutral and coast in accessory mode but:

The same thing happens in tow mode. The engine is off and not generating vacuum so eventually you get the warning, because you have no vacuum assist (2.3 L) after a few brake applications with engine off. I usually get the warning at first start up after flat tow, totally normal.
