First edition is really just a fully loaded Badlands with a different sticker on the fender.
If you find a Badlands with hoss 3.0 for a similar price and condition (miles, wear, stuff like that), personally, I would jump on that instead. (2024+)
Later years have some minor upgrades here and there as well, like a stitched dashboard.
That’s what I’m thinking too. The more I’ve seen, and the more I look into it, it seems like there could be more reason to get a newer edition. Thanks for the input.

I'm a 2Dr First Edition owner. Mine has been totally solid and I love it more than any other vehicle I've owned, but yes, make sure that VIN's recall notices have been satisfied. Also, check the hard top for issues.
Thanks for the input. Not sure on the VIN recalls, but this one seems good with the roof issues. I’m going to lay eyes on it tomorrow for sure.

Ensure that any recalls have been resolved. It's obviously outside of the factory warranty. I still would only consider the Lightning Blue with the Navy Pier interior.
That’s my only concern too. I’m alright with it being out of Warranty if I know it’s solid, but knowing there were issues with the early units is what made me post this. I understand mechanical stuff breaks regardless, but I’d like to enjoy it a bit before that happens haha. Appreciate the info!

OP................ two-door or two-many-door?

Post pics if you have some.................... that is RULE #1 on this forum.
You can't talk about a new Bronco, new modification, etc. without posting a picture.... we love photos.
Most of the folks here grew up in the 70's & 80's where we did NOT read smut magazines for the articles, and we haven't changed.... we need pictures, pictures & pictures!

Oh, and congrats once you get it............... they are a BLAST to drive!!!
Where are my manners?! Yes, pictures always are better.
I am a purist and would love a 2 door, but sometimes kind of wonder if I need the family model for carrying more. Either way, I’ll find the right one. Pics should be attached.

What they said!☝
If it's any color other than Lightning Blue, skip it. Don't know if it will matter to you, but the First Editions are early enough that they don't have provisions for the OEM rear sway bar. The frame mounts for the rear upper control arms also did not get additional support added until after the First Editions were built...so, those are a potential failure point. These issues affect most all 2021 models, not just First Editions...but if you have a First Edition, you can bet you won't have rear OEM sway bar provisions and weak upper control arm frame mounts.
Thanks so much for that info. Devin not the Lightning blue, but it does have the Pier interior. More importantly, that was the info I was looking for about the OEM away at and control arms. That’s more of a concern to me than other parts of it, and could be a potential deal breaker to me. I’ll try to get under and take a look at it once I visit tomorrow

Correct interior, but wrong exterior color. With all the potential issues (even with the recalls resolved), it would be a hard pass for me. A FE in a color that was available to other trims shouldn't command a FE premium that dealers think.

But if it meets your expectations and you aren't concerned about issues, then enjoy it.

Make sure the tool kit is in the glove box, all of the skid plate screws are tight, the rubber pads under the window controls not worn… suggest you buy or have them include SIRIUS, the extended warranty to 100K and road hazard tire warranty…. Our 50k FE is currently at the dealership for recalls (front camera) and a recent “Check Brake System” warning light that has them stumped…. Everything else has been solid. As noted earlier, BUY the damn thing… especially the lightning blue, ours is rapid red, the other color they only offered once on FE. OEM Hood and side stickers were not part of the original plan, but add, grew on us. Take that top off !!

Thanks for that. I’m leaning more towards walking based on some of the responses, and the fact that I’m not certain on the recalls is making me more wary on it. This one isn’t at a Premium (based on how the market is showing here), so that’s why it was enticing. Might back up and hit a newer unit.
