I'm just puzzled why the OEM Fox would seem too rough. Have others complained of this? I'd also make sure all are working optimally and not damaged. Could also be an option to see if Ford will replace them under warranty.OP stated they have HOSS 3.0 - which are the same Fox from a Wildtrak. I had heard they were tuned fairly linearly as well.
One option, if they're rebuildable: Might be able to send them to a shock tuner like Altech. I had the Fox res shocks on my Jeep tuned by them and they ride great.
Though shocks are like shoes, very personal. You could consider trying a set of the OEM Bilsteins. Otherwise, aftermarket if you don't like how they ride.
I still doubt this is the tires, but curious what the OP reports back. If getting tires, load C would be the softest and best for wheeling.
