Yikes, sorry for your loss.
Don't know that I'd call it a loss as much as a change. It seems like a fair number of people enjoy their soft tops as much as the hard top folks like theirs.

For a 4-door, can anyone confirm that if you just unhinge the front of the soft top, the back seat passengers would also enjoy an open-air experience?
Yes, the entire passenger area is open when you flip back the front

I (and my wife as its her DD) caved because we didn't want a MIC top to begin with and took delivery of the Bronco 9 days ago. Ordered the bestop to replace the oem top and it arrives today.

Glad we went with the soft top because my wife has been flipping it back almost daily during her commutes and I know she wouldn't have enjoyed removing the front MIC panels and putting them in their storage bags every time. I've lived here in CO with my jeep that has a soft top and zero issues with it during cold winters. Only thing I need to watch for this winter is the wife trying to brush snow off the windows.

Being in SC, I think that is a safe option. Up here in MT I can’t have that choice. It gets way too cold to not have a MIC. I miss temperate climates.
I have the soft top, currently living in Connecticut. Had temps below 30 and has not been an issue at all. Used to live in Great Falls, would have no problem having a soft top there either.

I switched to the soft top after driving a demo. It would definitely be nice to have the hard top for the snow.. but plenty of PA people run soft top jeeps year-round and I work from home most of the time now anyways.

I also had the 2.3 engine and after driving a 2.3 demo swapped that for the 2.7 (which I have not driven yet).

I got picked up in October and scheduled for 12/20 and then over this past weekend was pushed to 1/3.

I originally wanted dual tops, so this was a worthwhile swap for me. On the other hand - my heart is set on the heated steering wheel, so I wouldn't drop Lux.

I think if you will be happy with it, make the swap. But if you'll be sad when you see your original build on the road, hold out as long as you can.
You can swap a top - can't swap a trim level.
I drove both the 2.3 and 2.7 pre purchase. Got the 2.7. You'll be happy with the change.

Short answer, Yes.
Long answer hoping to get scheduled and a better aftermarket hard top.
It did not work out last week. I did not really expect it to work out just yet but I am still bummed.
Oh well, the down payment is growing every month. I am happy for reservation holders getting scheduled and not happy for not res holders getting scheduled. Ford Fail!!

Comparing a 2 door with 2.3L and manual with a 4 door 2.7L and auto is about 350 lbs difference.

Very happy for you! Hope you love your choice down the road.

For my wife and I... Not a chance we are going to change. This first Bronco is nearly what we want. Minus the MOD top. We talk about it constantly and keep coming back to wants and needs. Then how do we feel a year or two later when we short changed our selves and end up spending way more than had we just stuck to our guns originally.

For example... This Bronco will be our 17th vehicle purchase from the same person (Just changed dealerships after 20+ years). When we buy from the lot, we always sacrifice something (Package or color) And yes, we look all over the Country for dealer trades. Not always successful. When we order, we get what we want and enjoy the vehicle significantly more.

Our last Mustang was a perfect example. Cannot be happier!

In short. No. We are going to stay with what we ordered and know as time goes on, the improvements will become an added bonus.

Happy for you guys getting your Bronco and happy with the soft top. For some reason, I am hard headed. It was 2 door or bust. Even my wife supports that. I don't know why. To me, a Bronco is a 2 door.

Finally picked her up yesterday.

Also, I use to use this gif a lot here. Every time we heard a bad news from Ford. I haven't used it in a while. Must be a good sign. Good luck to everyone still waiting.

All this 2-door being superior to 4-door talk on this forum makes me think this is the vehicle version of the Napoleon Complex lol
