I think I'm going to "upgrade" my 2023 BD with these items too. I'm no audio savant, but I would appreciate a little better sound.

Is it possible to do all the replacement work physically then do the Forscan update after the fact? I don't have that capability, so I'd be looking for a roving Forscan expert to help/do that for me.

100%. I did the replacement on Thursday night.

friday my dongle was delivered and adjusted Forscan then.

Playing catch up and saving threads, but there are so many pages. Would I need base blockers for front 4" and rear 4" speaker replacement? or just the front?

I didn’t do any of that stuff. I just put the amp/sub in and it’s good enough for me. No other speaker changes.

maybe down the road… but I’m beyond satisfied for now, especially for being forced to drop LUX to get my WT.

This sounds fantastic. I'll save money on the 4" speakers for now and just do the sub/fusion amp upgrade. Thanks!

If I have absolutely zero experience with this stuff, so could I easily do it? So I need to buy the amp and sub and just plug it all in? What about that sound dampening / foil stuff, do I need that? Also what is the out the door cost for this project? Lastly, I don't know much about Forscan but I'm sure I could figure it out.

Just the front if you don't do any other changes in Forscan. There is a high pass filter in the programming already for the rear.

Is that really all? No wiring/splicing/etc? Do they just plug into an existing wire harness? I have Forscan already.
Pretty much, you do have to clip the ends of the speaker leads and strip the wire back to insert in the Kicker sub terminals. Very easy.

Awesome. Thank you for the info and reply. I'll start with adding the sub/amp, see what I think. If I'm not a fan, I'll do the fronts with base blockers. Do in steps to just see the difference.

The 4" in front make a big difference in midrange and high freq performance. Vocals are much better and it's just cleaner and clearer...
