Odd question, but anyone know the minimum height of a jack on a Sasquatch?
The bottle jack I'm looking at has a min height of 9", which seems pretty high.

9" seems like a lot. You have to imagine that it needs to fit under the frame or under the rear axle when you have a flat tire.

To calculate the clearance when tire is flat, (35" tire - 17" rim, divided by two) = 4". Measure the clear space under the jacking points and subtract 4", whatever that is, is how short the jack needs to be.

The oem jack is a scissor jack and is pretty flat when fully retracted. I'd have to measure but my guess is only a few inches.

I like bottle jacks, especially the geared toyota jacks but none of them crank down to as low as a scissor jack. You can always add blocks or logs or rocks to make it jack higher but you can't as easily get a too tall of a jack to fit under something.

My thought on jacks is to stick with the oem scissor jack and add the taller spacer if yours came with the short spacer.

Thx for the advise. It's because Google somehow knows I like to buy off-road gear and I keep getting ads for Cyber Monday.
Question about the math:

A. (35"-17"/)2=9", or
B. 35"-(17"/2)=26.5"

Not sure how you're getting 4", but if it's a typo, the bottle jack actually is 8.5" so a 9" clearance would work for me. Or I could just go out to the Bronco and measure it.
If it isn't a typo, than I'll need to bypass this idea.

It would be nice if the jack wasn't stowed under the cargo area but that's where they put it. Sucks when you have to unload the trunk to get it out!

Oops, you're right.

But still start with measuring the clear space under the jacking points, then subtract the 8" or 9".

Ok, now I understand where you're coming from. I need to subtract the tire since it'll be flat. So really, it'll be about just a tad over 1/2 of the wheel, so less than 8.5", which will be too tight of a fit now.

Thx again!
