Ok, thanks. I have a 2dr; I didn't see that on that site. However, I had been hearing that it was like $15k for all the parts (maybe separate), so I'm kinda wondering how we came up with that.also use the link i posted to look at all the specifics and cost
it was originally since you have to buy it piece by piece but now is sold as a kit with all panels and hardwareOk, thanks. I have a 2dr; I didn't see that on that site. Not saying you’re wrong on the install price - my mileage obviously variesim sure but not certain home delivery is prolly curbside.. dealer install is 300 per ford website.. the headliner kind of looks like low pile carpet and install was done well.. for me to ship to dealer and pay the install was about $100 it cost me 200 to ship home or 300 install
For me, order to delivered was about 3 weeks. I did ship to dealer and think that way may be faster.. I thought having the dealer do the first install was worth the hundred it would cost.. the woodNew here, just figured I'd add my experience so far. I bought a hard top online on 2/16, still in processing. Website shows they will ship within 4 days or have it at a dealer within 9. Spoke to someone on the phone and they do not know what kind of lead time there is, they've said anything from an extra week as they wait on them to come in to fulfill orders, to several months.
Based on the few reports of delivered accessory hard top orders I'm hoping I'll see it before April since my soft top is sagging to the point of flapping and my local dealer says that's normal after 8 months.
I did opt for home delivery, which is liftgate service and carrier dropped (scheduled freight). I have a spot for a crate the size of the bronco so I'm not concerned. Home shipping was 232 for me vs. 350 for dealer install, with the closest ford accessory partner being ~1 hour away.
I ordered mine last May and had it shipped to my buddies shop it was $200.00 shipping. The company had a lift gate truck, had a couple guys hold it while the driver pulled forward. I took off the soft top and installed the hard top. I also ordered the Rockwox bolts so the install was easy and straight forward. My 2022 Badlands had the hard top prep kit installed at the factory so I didn't have to do anything except bolt it on. You will need a buddy to lift the rear section in place.I’m wondering if the option to ship residential comes with liftgate service, given that 400lb weight figure, since the shipping and manual labor is cheaper than the dealer install fee of 350.
How’s the quality of the interior liner? How long would you estimate the dealer install takes?
I would make that trade in a second as well. To bad you can't cancel. Lame. Here's another tidbit. I have a local guy with a new braptor with the painted top, wants to trade it for a soft top. The cost to me would be the same as the MIC2.0 from Ford, except we could swap them today.
Ford won't let me cancel the order despite it not even being built by webasto to ship yet. Just be aware once you order the top from Ford Accessories, you are locked in to that with their up to 12 month deliveries they don't disclose to you beforehand.
