I also don't have any illusions that I'll be keeping this one for 19 years like my Tacoma, way too many computers and sensors in modern cars that I doubt anyone will support or still make 19 years from now, cars are - like anything else outside of maybe real estate - becoming disposable commodities.
Sadly this is true, and probably the thing that bugs me the most about new cars. Also - the market can't stay as hot as it has been recently. The rate of pricing increases are not sustainable long term. This means that selling a Bronco may be easy, but it's not going to be the money making deal that early buyers have benefitted from. If your ownership window is short term (less than 2 years), buying now and selling inside that window will probably be OK. After that - who knows.

Maybe if I actually had mine I wouldn't be as concerned.

Interesting coincidence - my SuperDuty (I bought it new) is also 19 years old. Would love to have the latest one, but no plans to replace it soon.

7.3? Best diesel motor ever built. Heck, it takes a good 10 years to even break those things in. Got 250k miles on my '01 Platinum and it is still pulling like a champ. Sadly, I am probably going to have to sell it here soon.

Back to the topic on hand. Only "issue" I have had with my 2.3 BL is a contaminated vacuum line on the brake system that is an easy fix and no cause for grounding. First model year issues are blown way out of proportion and I am not concerned with them nor potential Covid year problems.

Sometimes the parachute just fails to open. Fortunately, most of the time it does.

I’m locked in to a price from 2020 before inflation, on a vehicle currently selling used for $17k more, with a trade-in with 80k miles and 5 years on it for More than I paid for it.
I've always been very much against the idea of buying new due to the instant depreciation. These are odd times we live in that make this purchase fairly safe from a financial stand point.

Life is full of risk. Live, or get out of the way of those who do.
If you can afford it and want it, do it. If not, don’t. It’s not difficult.
