Exterior mirror courtesy lights

Noticed on underside of my mid package side mirrors there is a square plug insert. Is it possible to easily add the courtesy lights that illuminate under the mirrors as you walk up at night? Is the wiring there and it just needs a light and possible forscan? Anyone else notice these?

My guess is the wiring harness doesn’t include the wire for the puddle lamps. That’s a guess on my part based on previous experience replacing a mirror on a previous Ford.

No lights on exterior outside mirror are spots. Lights under mirrors are puddle lamps to light ground as you unlock and open the vehicle at night.

Depending on your package, you can get Ditch Spots on the mirrors. They are switched on from inside and operate at slow speeds.

as shown below, underneath are puddle lights, to the side are the spot / ditch.

I don't think the lights on the sides of the mirrors are spots, aren't they just turn signals? I could be wrong.

Nope, they are switchable LED spots. High package or above.

But if I manually turn them on and off repeatedly I could get them to look like white turn signals.

I remember my 2002 SVT Focus... The door lock switches weren't illuminated like the window switches. Turns out, the switches ACTUALLY had LED's in them... Ford just decided to save some money, not to wire them in. In Europe, they were illuminated.
Ford does a LOT of annoying, cost cutting shit
