I installed 3 pair of lights and plan on using 3 upfitter switches. The thing is, I want to disable the circuits to those lights if my parking lights are not on.

I know that can simply use relays as switches in those circuits. The relays would be wired to be closed when the parking lights come on.

Is there a smarter way to do this?

Not that I know of. I drew up some schematics in another thread for this, and using relays and diodes it will allow me to:

1. both Aux switches off - fog lights work as OEM and fogs off with highs

2. AUX 1 on - fogs on with highs and driving lights come on with highs

3. AUX 2 on - Amber fogs on with parking lights

All my switches all go off when the lights are off.
