My 24 Heritage is full of electrical gremlins and its tarnishing my love for this truck. There have been three instances so far:

1. I used the remote start to head to lunch back during the summer and the truck started up, but would not respond when I got in the truck and pushed it to fully start. It wouldnt turn on, and wouldnt turn off. Wouldnt respond to the app. Ford Roadside Assistance was less than helpful. Had to wait for the 15 minutes to run out for it to automatically shutoff. Then had to jump it to get it to the dealership. They said it seemed to be the battery (on a truck I only had for about 4 months) and they replaced the battery.

2. The truck completely died back in November one afternoon when I climbed in to start it up. Had to have it towed and then it was at the dealership for a week. I dont think they every fully understood what caused the issue, but they replaced one of the the fuse panels.

3. Died several times a few weeks ago. Went out to run an errand, couldnt get truck to unlock, but could hear it responding inside the truck, just wasnt sending a signal to the doors. Finally persuaded it to unlock. Got in, started it up and it died 20 seconds later. Start it up again, same thing. Get my camera out to video it and of course it works, but does have a maintenance light on. I drive it the mile to the Pharmacy and it dies while driving down the road. I coasted into a parking lot, restarted it and then drove directly to the Ford Dealership since it was only a mile away from there. It has now been there for three weeks, they have no idea what the issue is and cant seem to get any answers from Ford Engineering. There are no mods the the truck, so its practically stock.

Love the truck, but losing confidence that they will find and/or resolve the full issue and that I will constantly have to worry about whether its going to strand me somewhere or not.

Well you've already swapped the battery - time to check the fuse box and ground cables for tightness. There's a lot of folks that have had loose fuse boxes, or loose grounding cables, and it causes all sorts of issues.

This!
I had a similar issue last spring...loose connections at the fuse box, found by grabbing the wiring harness leading into the fuse box and giving it a bit of a tug...heard some clicking and everything began to work...2 stealerships couldn't find the issue...

If he responds and you find anything, I'm in South Florida and have FDRS. If the OP is close enough to me and there is something you see that can address the issue(s), I'd be happy to help him out.

Send your VIN to @flip, he has been super helpful to many members here, myself included.

Check buy back/lemon law in your state, hopefully you don't have to go that route, but be prepared.

Hopefully a loose harness or something similar.
