Electric Side Steps installed

Hello,

I just installed some electric steps on my 2021 Badlands Sasquatch Bronco 4 door
Our local Jeep dealer offers them (sorry I do not know the name or brand, but I used the same on my Wrangler for more than 2 years with no issues. )
The Bronco was a bit high for my kids so de

cided to go with the electrical steps and to make it easier to get in and out

The kit actually fits the car better than it did the Jeep, where it was a bit skewed on the Jeep and it fits pretty flush on the Bronco

They managed to fit it with magnetic sensors in the door Jams so that when you open and close it comes down. The dealer also fabricated some mounts based on the original Bronco locations without drilling into the car.

I also found out that the bottom part of the Bronco doors or sills get easily beat up by rocks. I already got two stone chips down. I guess the new Bronco Raptor had those huge side steps and fender flares for a reason. Next upgrade would definitely be some mudflaps.

I don't think they are, otherwise it would have said so

What they did, is basically install something they had for the Jeep on my car and the fitment is better than on the Jeep. You can see how there are gaps on the 2 door and even the 4 door Jeeps.

As of now, they only wired it using the magnetic receivers on the door and the door jam
Once I have enough time, will actually have it wired so that the magnetic receivers are not needed

The only way to work with doors off is to wire them into one of the Aux switches so that it can be turned off and on

I wonder if you could just keep a separate magnet and stick it to the ”fixed side magnet” while the doors are off.

They look great by the way. I’d love to get a pair of those or something similar, but I’ve already spent my Bronco allowance for the next few months, and I still have no Bronco.
