Had two SW updates within a week of each other recently. I noticed this post so tried the double honk today - it is gone - along with a mild heart attack every time it happened. Glad to have these posts.

I noticed double honk was gone too the other day. I’ll have to confirm as I don’t remember if doors were open or closed.

Yup, just confirmed, will not double honk if door open. As soon as I shut the door, double honk…

I’ve never experienced double honk. I must be doing something different than y’all. If I exit my bronco I always take my keys with me, is that what does it?

Today I noticed that I’ve got Wireless Apple CarPlay though so I have to assume that was from the update?Previously it worked on my partner’s phone which is much newer than my 2020 iPhone SE but now I got it too! Woohoo

You have to exit vehicle with keys and shut door with engine running. There’s still some confusion if the update changed that…

So I used forescan and made some changes, one of them being the double honk. It worked great then a few weeks later I got out with key in pocket closed the door and I get a double honk. If it doesn’t stop the double honk when you close the door what’s the point. Or am I missing something.

Got my second update in a month, this update said it fixed the modem issue with FordPass disconnecting, but the update a month ago seemed to fix that. Then I noticed today when I got out of the vehicle with key fob in pocket, it didn’t double honk. Anyone else? 4/21/23 update:

I think so. Pretty sure I got out of the bronco twice today with key in my pocket and it didn’t honk at me. Maybe I was close so it didn’t honk but definitely going to double check tomorrow. I can’t remember the last time it honked at me.

I can see that an update occurred on Apr 21 but when I click on the “Update Details” button nothing happens. So no clue what is included in the update…yet.
