Does the Bronco engine air intake have a water separator?

I've seen pics with the engine intake scoop right at the grill...
There must be some way its preventing water ingestion?
Heck, even my Evoque had a water separator.

When I went to the Off-Roadeo, the instructors mentioned that it did have one during the fording lesson. Sorry, no pic.

yes there is a trap door I have seen it but no pics.

The more I dig into these the better off their design.

I’ve personally ruined one motor to the point where it was not salvageable and damaged another one while doing a creek Crossing with mud holes. It’s nice to see the building a little bit of safety to the intake system!
