For what it’s worth I just asked my buddy who happens to be with me right now, he’s been in the tint wrap business for close to 15 years and he said “ Dont Do It!!” . He said he’s been asked this by Jeep owners as well as others with textured bumpers and front spoilers and they have done it a few times but no longer even entertain the idea unless customer signs waiver for warranty. He said the best way is to sand and then clear coat then apply wrap but even that doesn’t turn out well for longevity and the cost is nearly as much as getting it painted. He also says that those who don’t mind singing a warranty waiver but just want it to be done anyway, they use heavy adhesive backed vinyl and or Pro bond (some kind of adhesive promoter.) However when done with no sanding, the texture of plastic shows on wrap and in his opinion just doesn’t look good. Hope this helps.
