Delay plant hold

Ok, so my 1/15 blend is received at the rail yard awaiting shipment to my dealer ( 20 miles away) with an eta this week. Expecting it tomorrow and all of a sudden its on “delay plant hold” with eta still the same. Anybody get this status ? How can it be on plant hold at the rail yard ??? This just doesn’t end ……

It’s a huge crap shoot and it could be a minor delay or it could be a major issue. The long and short is that they’ve identified an issue with your Bronco and they want to either resolve it or know the resolution before they transfer it to the dealer. It could be a manufacturing defect, a missing component or a paper work issue.

It may still ship to the dealer under the hold, but the dealer won’t be able to take possession of the vehicle and won’t be able to deliver it to you before the hold is lifted.

This is my situation also. 1/28 blend, 2/2 built, 2/9 shipped. Arrived at a rail yard 2/19 that is 8.1 miles from the dealer.

It is still there on a “Hold Ford Motor Company”.

My hold has come and gone. I have had somewhere around a dozen delivery dates. With the newest one being 4/26-5/3. Not that I believe any dates anymore. When they get a week or so out, they move the post again.

Day 3 of "plant hold" and its not at the plant.... WTF ?! What could the plant hold on a built vehicle parked and received at the rail yard ???

I'm in the same situation,,,, It arrived at the railyard over the weekend (I had to tell my sales rep that it arrived). She contacted me this morning and said that it's on a "plant hold" with an eta of 18 April and thay don't know why. I contacted Ford Customer service and chatted with them. They confirmed that it is in Transit to the dealer and that there is anote for plant hold, but no other detals as to why. I'm Frustrated to say the least.

I’m a 3/21 build and shipped 3/23. My vehicle is currently 2.5 hrs from dealership at a rail yard awaiting convoy. ETA was 4/11-17 Per ford chat delayed with ETA of 4/19. However, now on plant hold So no clue if it will be delayed further

I found out I was unloaded at a railyard in Nashville on "Plant Hold", but my EDD has still not changed from the one I received in my shipped e-mail. Do they usually update the EDD for you guys when these things pop up?

I wish I could encourage you. This is where the Ford non-communication really hits its stride. I had one built last 7/23.....that has either been auctioned, damaged, or UFO'd that Ford continues to tell me is coming. ALL WE KNOW is that the vehicle doesn't exist, no even on trackers, yet Ford has yet to tell us what happened or when, only that's it's still coming. It ain't coming. I've now got a 22 ordered. All you can do is get your dealer to hard press their rep to learn whatever they can. Even then, the reps aren't told everything.

Hopefully the folks here have received good news since the thread started. I wouldn't try to make too much sense of the type of hold your Bronco is in at the moment, the "hold" part of "plant hold" is probably the only part that is accurate.
Ford used to have a single generic "hold" status in their database. They updated it a few weeks ago and the update now allow for several different categories of hold based the specifics of the situation. It sounds like a lot of employees aren't really sure what all of the hold statuses mean or having an extra field of data to enter has introduced another possibility for an input error. Hopefully you are all dealing with a relatively routine hold due to transit issues and some FoMoCo employee accidentally picked the wrong hold status from a drop down menu.

This is very frustrating. I've also had multiple delivery targets. This is what the dealership rep sent me from his computer today:

Sitting less than 30 miles away. I'm hoping it doesn't have damage.
