Damn, that's not good! Can you share what was the reason of the hold? If you ever found out lolMine spent 4mo in that status before delivery. Noone could ever give me a straight answer.
I know, it's awful. From one hand can be a good thing if they found fault before releasing for shipment, but on other hand no idea how long plant hold will last depending in what kind of issue they could have discoveredIm ok with holds being called just not on the last play..damit..
Would you say I should keep following up with dealer or with Ford? Or it doesn't matter because end of the day they will fix it whenever they like?My plant hold was for a headlight issue I was told. Sat for 2 months until the summer factory shutdown then got fixed. Then sat for another month before getting shipped.
I don't think your dealership has any info and I'm not not sure ford will tell you. Someone in my build week had a friend at the factory, she asked him and he is the one who told her what was wrong. Then it was just a waiting game until ford decided to fix it.Would you say I should keep following up with dealer or with Ford? That's what I'm thinking. Unfortunately don't know anyone at the plant. Bad luck I guess and waiting is the only thing to do at this point. Hopefully nothing that affects the build during life of ownershipA plant hold can be just about anything. An inspection that wasn’t bought off, open repair not bought off, calibration record did not load, suspect for missing/defective part/not torqued, etc. Unless you know someone that can access MAP’s quality system you’ll never know why.
