I’m looking into some dash mount accessories because I want to be able to record my scenic drives using my phone/gopro. I’m looking into some options I saw someone mention an issue about glare trying to record from inside the vehicle because of the angle of the windshield.
I’ve never done any real video recording before, not mounted anyways. So I guess I have a few questions in regards to that.
1. Is the glare really a huge issue. In Minnesota colder drives in the winter battery life would be a concern trying to exterior mount. Also in general I feel better about mounting a more expensive option inside the vehicle.
2. If glare is an issue are certain camera positions better than others. Mounted high up vs down low. Closer or further from the glass. I’m also not trying to obstruct my view.
3. is glare an issue with all weather sunny vs cloudy?
Knowing this will help me figure out what dash rail if any I want to go with. Right now I’m deciding between the Tacform rail and the Expedition Essentials.
Thanks for any insight
thanks for the replies! I think I got enough feedback for an educated decision.
thanks everyone!
